The big news this year is that Minkey has been renamed Hookin2Hockey – our new national learn to play hockey program.
The next big news is that the Hookin2Hockey competition will be played on mini grounds marked out on the turf at the Tasmanian Hockey Centre (THC) each Saturday between 9.00am and 12:00pm.

Hockey South in conjunction with Hockey Tasmania are running a clinic called the AHL Little League program to be run at the Tasmanian Hockey Centre for 4 weeks starting next Wednesday.
The program is designed as a introductory type program and is suited for Minkey/Half Field/New players.

Hockey South organising the usual social summer hockey rosters for both primary and high school students. Students don’t have to all come from the same school. You may fill your team with students from another school who want to play but haven’t got a team.

This carnival will be held in Hobart from 26th September to 1st October, and provides an opportunity for girls to enjoy the game of hockey in a carnival atmosphere. This carnival is not conducted along state lines, but rather individual clubs, regions or cities from all round Australia are able to compete with development and enjoyment, as key components. 14 teams will participate in a round robin format.
