Stage 2 Update

20th December 2007

The redevelopment of the Tasmanian Hockey centre is well underway with Stage 2 work well advanced.

The concrete for the concourse entrance has been poured (image 2), all of the ground plumbing (showers/toilets etc) has been completed, part of the building slab has been poured (2 change rooms - image 3) and the end section of wall has been installed (image 1).

There has been some technical hold ups through November which has delayed works and has now set the completion date back to May but now that we are out of the ground it is onwards and upwards (literally!!!).

After the christmas break you will see the building coming out of the ground very quickly as the walls are being constructed off site, delivered by truck and stood up by crane.

Thank you to all of you that are respecting the builders site and not entering the construction area - please continue to do so.

Hockey should now be very excited that we are getting closer to completion of Australia's best Hockey Centre!!!
