Mid March THC Redevelopment Update

15th March 2007

The redevelopment of the Tasmanian Hockey Centre continues at a frantic pace.

The turf has been laid on GR2 and now requires some of the finishing touches including cutting in of training/playing circles, sidelines etc. Shockpad is being laid on GR1 and we should see some carpet being laid next week - weather dependant!!!

The 2 new lightpoles have arrived from Western Australia - now needing assembling, painting and installation of lights.

The new "Big Gun" water canons have arrived from the U.S.A. These canons are noticbly bigger than the previous models used at the THC and should prove to be more water effecient.

The timeline continues to be tight but the April 14th season start (Premier's Opening) is very achievable.
